Translate your ideas into polished diagrams anyone can understand with OmniGraffle, the flexible diagramming application for the Mac. With this course, you'll be able to create org charts, space plans, wireframes, presentations, and much more. But first, learn the basics with author Jason Osder, as he demonstrates how to construct diagrams with shapes and lines, and save time with reusable graphics called stencils.
Note: The Visio version of the stencil does not contain all of the graphics. Put the stencil in your Library/Application Support/OmniGraffle/Stencils/ folder (within.
Then dig into advanced topics such as drawing your own custom shapes with the Pen tool, adding logical section breaks in multipage diagrams, and notating hierarchies with the Outline sidebar. Last, find out how to print and export projects and take a look at the capabilities of OmniGraffle Pro, including tables and interactivity. Instructor. OmniGraffle has a lot built in. You can make there own custom ones, and I also want to go over stencils that are available online.
I started here in a web browser with a simple Google search for OmniGraffle Stencils. And a lot of possibilities came up. I am just going to go through a couple of them. A well known site for stencils is called Graffletopia, and for a long time this was totally free. But as you can see it has now switched over to a subscription program.
So this is probably the largest selection of stencils but to access them you do have to pay a small fee every year. But there's a lot of great stencils here and a great interface to search for them. I also opened up one more individual stencil maker, and you'll recognize this theme because one of his stencils is pre-loaded with OmniGraffle when it ships. But you can see that a lot of stencils are available here.
And again, you can click on anything to download it, and these stencils, the actual stencil. Practice while you learn with exercise files. Watch this course anytime, anywhere. Course Contents.

If you open a file that does not have line routing path data then OmniGraffle will use the previous version of the algorithm (prior to the 3.5 update) to calculate the old path and save it to the file. Orthogonal Line Routing — Fixed a handful of line routing bugs reported by users. Thank you for sending us examples! If you have any feedback or questions, we’d love to hear from you!

Cycles4Fun, Gesture Issues The UI updates are very good and intuitive (especially if you are familiar with previous versions). But this latest version has huge problems with the gestures I’ve used from earlier versions. For example I use “Duplicate” very often. I touch and hold the object and then two-finger tap where I want the duplicate to be.
Instead of duplicating the object, the original object displays it is selected. The older versions would have selected the original object as soon as it was touched.
If I two-finger tap a second time the object will be duplicated. This is very awkward. Another problem is that if I tap and hold an object and then two-finger tap (which selects the first object) and then remove my finger from the original object and tap-off to unselect the first object a selection circle is displayed randomly on the screen. If I tap-off again then a selection bubble is displayed.
It takes 3 tap-offs to fully clear the selection. I use an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and this issue displays regardless of the proximity of the Apple Pencil. I use this tool professionally and this is costing me time. Please fix the gesture issues and I will bump this back up to 5 stars because the new UI is great. Dwayne from Pinpoint, Convoluted money grab Spent $79 for this app, that’s a lot for an iPad app. Now they’ve “updated” and I’m back to a free version that won’t let me do anything. Have tried to get the upgrade price, it fails. Have tried to restore purchases, it fails.
Basically, if you want to pay for this app, decide if it’d be more fun to burn that money in your back yard, or give it to the OmniGroup. It’s basically the same thing, but you don’t get to watch it actually burn if you give it to them. Note: this review comes from someone that’s been an OmniGroup customer for 15ish years. I’ve advocated for them, bought countless licenses for my business and have been a loyal customer.until today. Developer Response, Sorry for the frustration.
